Supplement Fulfillment Checklist: cGMP, FDA Registered Warehouse and Lot Tracking
Use this checklist to vet any warehouse that will store and ship your supplements. Print it and bring it to every 3PL call.
What FDA registered and cGMP mean for a warehouse
An FDA registered facility has registered with the FDA as a food facility, which includes dietary supplements. Registration is not FDA approval of any product. cGMP means current good manufacturing practice: written procedures, trained staff, clean storage and records you can audit. Lot and expiration tracking
Every unit should be received with its lot number and expiration date. Ask to see inventory by lot and expiry, not just by SKU.
FEFO picking
First expired, first out. The warehouse should pick the lot that expires soonest, so older stock ships first and less product ages out on the shelf.
Recall readiness

Shelf-life minimums for retailers

TikTok Shop and Amazon
Both TikTok Shop and Amazon publish their own rules for selling supplements, and they change. Check each marketplace's current seller policy, and make sure your 3PL can supply lot and expiry data when asked.
