Fulfillment Center Delivery Zones

Where your inventory sits decides how far each order travels. Here is how our three US regions cover the country, and the method behind it.

Why zone matters

Carriers price ground parcels by zone. Zone is based on the distance between the origin ZIP code and the destination ZIP code, from Zone 1 (closest) to Zone 8 (farthest) in the lower 48. Higher zones cost more and usually take longer.

Our three US regions

Central Texas sits near the middle of the country, within 2-day ground reach of nearly the entire US population. The East Coast center serves customers along the Atlantic. The West Coast center serves customers along the Pacific. Shenzhen handles international orders.

How we read the zones

We use the carriers' public zone charts, such as the USPS domestic zone chart, which match each origin ZIP to each destination ZIP. Orders ship from the center closest to the customer, so most orders land in lower zones than they would from a single coastal warehouse. Exact zones and transit times depend on the destination ZIP, carrier and service, so we check them against your real order data. Look up any origin and destination yourself with the USPS zone chart.

How multi-location inventory works

Split stock across regions based on where your orders go. Each order routes to the closest center with stock. You see all of it in Ship2.io in real time.

Is one warehouse enough?

Not always. Some brands do best from Central Texas alone. Others gain from adding a coast. We look at your order history before suggesting a split.
